low clear river and frost

As of today 10.4.03 the river is very low and clear. We've had several
nights of hard, hard frosts since the weekend which combined with
the river level will make for very difficult fishing conditions. There
are fish about, albeit in tight pockets, notebly downstream of Warcop,
Musgrave and Blandswath bridges. On the nature front add a peacock
butterfly to Brian's list [Warcop 29.3.03] and a sand martin high
over Musgrave [29.3.03] |
